WAXING FAQ
Why Wax?
Waxing removes hair from the root so over time your hair will become finer and more sparse (or not at all).
How Long Does My Hair Need to be For Waxing?
Your hair needs to be at least 1/4 inch long (about the length of a grain of rice). Please wait around 7-10 days after shaving.
What is the Difference Between a Brazilian, Bikini and French Bikini Wax?
A basic bikini wax removes hair on the crease of the leg on both sides of the bikini area and along the top. For a french bikini wax, your waxing specialist will remove about another inch of hair inwards on both sides and off the top. Many clients prefer a french bikini over just a bikini because if your bottoms were to move at the pool, a little more hair is removed and not seen. A brazilian wax removes all hair front and back. Sometimes clients request not to have the backside wax, which is no problem at all!
Do You use Hard or Soft Wax?
It depends on the area you are getting waxed! Most waxing services require the use of hard wax, which hardens on the skin and is then removed. However, for some services provided a soft wax is better to use or a combination of both hard wax and soft wax. Soft wax is applied to the skin and a small piece of paper is pressed over the top and is removed. All of the waxes used are of the highest quality and the results are superior because of this.
Who Should Not Get Waxed?
Anyone currently taking Accutane or within the past 6 months, has an active herpes outbreak, a sunburn on the area being waxed, a recent chemical peel on the area being waxed, anyone using retinol, or anyone with open lesion or inflammatory skin conditions on the area being waxed.
